Matt's First Day of School at SLC

Today was Matt's Frist Day of School. He is going to the School for Little Children at Kingwood United Methodist Church. We took a few pictures before we left the house. He is four years old but he is in a three year old class because of the cut off. He had new shoes to wear and he says they have super powers!
Mickey Mouse sent him a new book bag and lunch bag to take to school. It even has his name on it!

This is right outside the church where his classroom is!

They have a special bag that only the big kids get to take. Matt saw the big kids with these bags last year and he is so happy to have one of his own this year.

Of course, Mommy had it packed full today!!
This is his classroom. His teachers are Mrs. Deb and Mrs. Mary Lee. His class is the frogs. This is when he got to find his name for his cubby hole this morning. He walked right in after he gave me a hug. There were no tears! He was so excited to see his friends from last year!

This is where they get to hang their bag everyday. They have their name above a peg.

This is the sheet that they will hang on the wall for all of the kids so they can get to know their friends!

We all made a scrapbook page for our kids. The kids get to bring the scrapbook home one night so that we can see their families. This is the one that Matt and I made. He helped me pick out the pictures. He picked out about 20 pics, so I had to narrow down!

It was such a great day!! Afterwards, we went to see Dr. Harper for Evan's 15 month check up and Matt's 4 year old check up. Evan weighs 21 pounds and is 30 inches long. Matt weighs 31 pounds and is 39 inches tall. Their check ups went great!! They are so healthy!!
